Ticket #281 was a real pain in the ass. It seemed like everyone but me could reproduce it. Continue reading
Well this weekend was full of football and since my 49ers are out of the running (and likely for next year as well) I’ve regressed into a Packer fan. Hard not to with Brett Favre running the show. Anyways, while watching the Pack kill the Seagulls err… Seahawks, and the other games over the weekend, I made some serious progress on merging tcprewrite and fragroute. Continue reading
There, I’ve said it. Ok, so it’s a bit black ‘n white and reality is quite a bit more grey. But lately I’ve seen started seeing a trend where people think that putting information on a wiki is some how equivalent to having a conversation or disseminating information. Continue reading
So tcpreplay 3.2.3 was released a while ago… Fixes the serious problem with compiling on Linux. More importantly though, I’ve started to use Cabernet, my wine management system myself to manage my 350+ bottle collection. Continue reading
Not a big release, but it does fix a bug preventing Debian from picking up the latest code and also takes advantage of a bug fix introduced in OS X Leopard. UPDATE: Crap, major bug in 3.2.2 breaks Linux and all other platforms which don’t have BPF devices. 3.2.3 will be available soon.
I’m happy to announce the immediate release of tcpreplay 3.2.1. This release fixes a number of end-user reported performance, stability and data corruption issues and all users are strongly suggested to upgrade. Continue reading
I’m officially killing flowreplay as a future feature of tcpreplay. After giving more thought to this problem and where protocols and applications are going, it’s become clear to me that the goals of flowreplay are unobtainable.

Just a little update on Tcpreplay & Cabernet. Tcpreplay is still currently mostly on hold as I’m spending most of my free coding time working on Cabernet, my wine management application. Cabernet is definitely getting close to a beta. Continue reading
This is my first blog post for my smoker log. My goal is to keep a record of what I cook, how I cook it and how it turns out.
One chimney of hot coals. Smoker was placed in the shade, outdoor temp was mid-70s. Initially was running too hot (near 300F) before I put the chicken on, so I splashed a little water on the coals to bring the temp down. Two medium pieces of cherry for two 3.5lb chickens. Recipe calls for cooking 3:30-4hrs @ 200-220F. Continue reading
