So tcpreplay 3.2.3 was released a while ago… Fixes the serious problem with compiling on Linux. More importantly though, I’ve started to use Cabernet, my wine management system myself to manage my 350+ bottle collection.
Right now, I’m debating between releasing my code as open source or to do a software service where people can use it as a hosted solution. I am a bit disappointed with the overall performance of RoR and specifically with ActiveRecord, the SQL to Ruby object mapping solution which is a major part of Rails. Hopefully I can figure out a way to optimize the queries to improve performance.
